Shimo-kitazawa, commonly called "Shimokita," is on the western side of Tokyo, and although just a small town, it is very popular among young people. There are many small theater halls, live houses, bars,restaurants and second hand record shops, and this town is known as a trendsetting place for youth culture.
During the month-long Shimokitazawa Theater Festival, held every February, various plays are performed at eight small theaters. There is also the Kitazawa Music Festival held every July, where you can enjoy live music not only in live houses, but also in every alley throughout the town.

Shimokitazawa is well known for its vintage shops, used clothes and music events but is much more than those! Here you can find local and cheap restaurants, international community, cool jazz bars.
This private apartment is ready to accommodate up to 2 guests, you will have a small kitchen corner which you can use freely when you are in the mood for cooking.
Short walk ( 9 minutes) to the North from the apartment you will find yourself at the Sasazuka Station on Keio Line by which you can take the train to Shinjuku Station (5 minutes ride).
Sasazuka has managed to keep the style of the old-style of Tokyo, providing you an opportunity to enjoy the lively neighborhood.
Again short walk (10 minutes) to the South from the apartment you will arrive to the Shimo Kitazawa Station on Inokashira Line which takes you to the Shibuya Station. ( 4 minutes ride).
